New to Bang AI? Film or upload your clips, press Auto Edit, fix what you want in the editor, export, then post it yourself. The quickstart below walks through those five steps, and each guide under it covers one job in full: the steps, what to ask your AI chat, the limits and what to do when something goes wrong. Bang AI is on iPhone, the web and the Mac, and one account works on all three.

Bang AI is on iPhone, the web and the Mac.

Guides by task

Quickstart

  1. Film or upload. On iPhone, film in the Camera tab with the teleprompter, or press Add Clips and choose Photos, Files or Record. On the Mac, drag clips or a folder in from Finder. On the web, press Make a Video and choose From your computer. A folder becomes one video named after it.
  2. Auto Edit. Press Auto Edit and pick a length. Bang AI keeps your best lines and cuts the silence, the repeated tries at a line and the ums. See Auto Edit.
  3. Fix. Open the new version in the editor. Swap in another recording of a line, fix a caption word or trim a clip.
  4. Export. Press Export and choose the resolution and frame rate. On iPhone and the Mac, Export Pack makes every shape at once, with and without captions.
  5. Post. Bang AI doesn't post for you: upload the file to TikTok, Reels or Shorts yourself.

Use Bang AI from your AI chat

Add Bang AI to ChatGPT, Claude or Claude Code and you can edit your saved videos by asking: cut a line, remove the ums, fix a caption or swap a recording. ChatGPT can also start an Auto Edit, through Bang AI's card in the chat, where you pick and upload your clips. Claude and Claude Code edit videos you've already cut. Watching and exporting stay in Bang AI, and the chat can hand you a link that opens the video in the web editor. Every guide here has prompts to try, and Use Bang AI in your AI chat gives the setup steps for each chat.

ChatGPT is a trademark of OpenAI. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic. Bang AI isn't affiliated with or endorsed by either.

Key facts

  • Where it runs: iPhone, the web at app.morebangers.com and the Mac. Your account and your videos are the same on all three.
  • Signing in: Sign in with Apple, on every device.
  • Speech: Auto Edit understands English and Spanish.
  • Credits: a typical video is about 55 credits: 40 for the Auto Edit, 10 for captions and 5 for spoken overlays. Editing by hand and exporting cost nothing, and a cut that fails gives its credits back.
  • Posting: Bang AI doesn't post for you. You export the video and post it yourself.

Getting help from a person

When a guide doesn't solve it, contact support from inside Bang AI: on iPhone and the web, Settings, then Help, then Contact Support; on the Mac, the Help menu. A real person on our team reads every message and replies by email. Copy your Account ID from Settings, then Account, and include it, so support can find your account straight away.

Questions, answered.

Is Bang AI the same on iPhone, the web and the Mac?

Mostly. Auto Edit, captions, spoken overlays and swapping in another recording of a line work on all three, and Replace is on iPhone and the web. Export Pack and Edit like a video are on iPhone and the Mac, and the web exports one shape at a time.

Do I need an account to use Bang AI?

Yes. You sign in with Apple, and the same account opens your videos on iPhone, the web and the Mac.

Can Bang AI post my video to TikTok or Instagram?

No. Bang AI cuts and exports the video, and you post the file yourself to TikTok, Instagram or anywhere else you share.

Which guide should I read first?

Getting started, if you haven't made a video yet. If you have, Auto Edit explains every option that shapes the first cut.
