UGC video templates

Structures for the talking-to-camera videos brands ask UGC creators for most. Each template lists the beats to film in order, a few variations and notes from the shoot, so you walk in knowing what to say. They're written for Bang AI's Auto Edit, which cuts the ums, pauses and false starts, adds J and L cuts and punch-ins, and captions the result.

How the templates are built

Each one splits a video into four or five beats you film as separate short takes. Short takes are easier to get right, easier to redo, and they give the edit clean places to cut. The beats are prompts, not lines to memorise, so the video still sounds like you.

What every template page holds

  • The beats, in order, with what each one is for.
  • Why it works: what the beats do for the viewer, so you can bend them without breaking them.
  • How to film it: takes, framing and light for that kind of video.
  • How to use it, step by step, from the first take to the export.
  • Variations for other angles, other products and other people on camera.
  • Notes that save a second filming session.

Picking one

Use the product review when the brand wants a verdict and honest detail, the unboxing when the packaging and first impression are the story, and the testimonial when the product changed something for you over time. The product review also has a 15 to 20 second cut for ads.

From template to finished video

Film the beats, upload the takes to Bang AI on the web or the Mac and press Auto Edit. If a term on a template page is new to you, the video editing glossary explains it. For how Bang AI compares with other editors for this kind of work, see all comparisons.

Why short takes beat one long take

A single long take means one mistake near the end costs you the whole video, and you tense up as you go. Separate takes for each beat keep every attempt short and low stakes. You can film the hardest line five times and keep the best. Auto Edit joins the takes in order, removes the fumbles inside each one and hides the joins with J and L cuts and punch-ins, so the finished video still plays as one continuous piece.

Using a template with a brand brief

Brands often send a brief with required claims, a hook they want tested or a length to hit. Map the brief onto the beats before you film: required claims usually belong in the demo or result beat, and a hook the brand wants tested replaces your opening line. Keep the honest beats, such as the drawback in a review, unless the brief rules them out; they are what make UGC read as real.

Questions, answered.

Are these templates free to use?

Yes. Use them for any video, edited with Bang AI or anything else; they are structures to film, not files to download.

Do they work for TikTok Shop videos?

Yes. The product review and unboxing templates suit affiliate videos, and the TikTok Shop page covers placing your code and product shot.

Will more templates be added?

Yes. We add templates for other kinds of UGC videos over time, and each page shows when it was last updated.

Can I mix two templates in one video?

Yes. An unboxing that ends with a week-later verdict is a common mix; film the beats of both and drop any that repeat each other. Keep the result or verdict line for the end of the combined video.
