  1. In ChatGPT, open Plugins and press +.
  2. Choose Add custom MCP server and paste https://api.bangaiapp.com/mcp.
  3. Sign in with your Bang AI account.
  4. Ask ChatGPT to start an Auto Edit, or to show your Bang AI videos.

Product review, start to finish

  1. Ask ChatGPT to draft a 30-second review script for your product.
  2. Film it on your phone, then ask ChatGPT to start an Auto Edit.
  3. Pick your clips in Bang AI's card and let Auto Edit cut them.
  4. Ask for changes, such as a tighter intro or a bigger caption, then open the video in Bang AI to export.

What ChatGPT does with Bang AI connected

Once you add the connector and sign in, ChatGPT can see your Bang AI videos and act on them. Ask it to start an Auto Edit and Bang AI's card opens in the chat, where you pick your clips, upload them and press Auto Edit. It cuts dead air, repeats and false starts, removes the ums, adds J and L cuts, and adds captions if you ask for them. Then keep talking to change the result:

  • Script: cut a line, put back a line you cut, remove a pause or a filler word.
  • Clips: trim, reorder or remove a clip.
  • Captions: change the style, fix a word, split or join caption lines.
  • Overlays and pictures: add text, shapes or a clip from the video's own footage; move, retime, crop or delete a product shot, logo or code already there.
  • Framing: punch in, reframe or move the crop over time.
  • Audio: change levels and music.

Every change is saved to the video, so it is there when you open the Bang AI app or the web editor.

Credits

Reading and editing a saved video doesn't use credits. Starting an Auto Edit from ChatGPT spends credits the same way it does in the app, because that is when Bang AI does the cutting. ChatGPT can also tell you how many credits your account has left before you start.

What it can't do

ChatGPT with Bang AI edits videos of people talking. It doesn't generate footage, make avatars or post for you. It can't play the video inside the chat, so to watch the result and export the file, open the video in Bang AI: the chat can hand you a link to it in the web editor. An edit applied from the chat is saved over the video; if you have the web editor open at the same time, you can undo it there.
