Shleem Pink is a versatile Soundcloud rapper from the gulf coast and has been making music for almost 3 years now. We recently did a small interview with him and we hope you will like it.
Hi Shleem Pink! How are you?
Doing Great! just finishing up my project. Tryna finalize some things, get it ready for roll-out.
Where are you from?
I am from the gulf coast, I live at the beach, it’s kind of like an island, very beautiful place.
What is your greatest inspiration for your music?
My greatest inspiration comes from just being able to create, i like to create worlds when i make projects, or songs. Travis Scott is probably my biggest influence when it comes to putting the worlds together, and giving the audience a sense of an escape.
What are 3 words that describe your music?
zany, angsty, & cinematic
What is the hardest subject you’ve ever written about?
My anxiety, just something I don’t share with everyone, I have really bad panic attacks, and I can’t focus sometimes. I try to just live life and have fun, and try not to overthink, but it gets hard sometimes.
What are the challenges of being an artist?
having to live up to an expectation, set by people who all have different expectations.
Are you planning on releasing new music soon?
I got a project called “starlight-kid” in the works, it’s a very special piece, very different, alot of the songs on there, are inspired by drug use, addictions, relationships, & anxiety, but my goal is to tell in a different way, that’s not your traditional sad rap.
