Our discovery today is quite intriguing and unexpected. Another kind of new music. The anonymous artist Shaiva has recently caught our attention with his popular song “Basketball” and the least we can say is that we have been immediately seduced by the creativity and the uniqueness.
The production quality is very high-end for a Trap Conscious Musik. The sub-genre he created, with excellent clarity and a clean, punchy mix. Shaiva has a straightforward, rhythmic, and no-nonsense delivery style.
He also low-key demonstrates an ability to switch speeds on a dime, hinting at his true power level at various moments throughout the song. The backing beat is synth-driven and somewhat theatrical in nature. Overall, this is a solid, energetic, and worthy release.
In fact, this song does a nice job of keeping things dynamic by constantly changing/evolving throughout. The vocals still manage to be kind of catchy despite allowing the instrumentals to take such a prominent position in the mix. “Basketball” is just an overheated song, that’s well-produced and hits all the marks.
